The 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) truly delivered on its promise as Ghana’s biggest night in music, blending glamour, passion, and unforgettable performances in a star-studded celebration of Ghanaian artistry.
Held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, the 2025 awards night brought together legends, newcomers, fans, and tastemakers for a dazzling showcase of the nation’s musical excellence and its ever-expanding global reach.
From red carpet fashion to electric performances, the night buzzed with unforgettable moments — Stonebwoy etched his name in history by claiming his 10th Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award, while King Promise stole the spotlight with two major wins: Artiste of the Year and Album/EP of the Year for True to Self.
Gospel acts held their ground with Joe Mettle bagging two awards, while Diana Hamilton and Empress Gifty each won in their respective categories. King Paluta emerged a surprise force with double honors for Best Highlife Song (Aseda) and Songwriter of the Year.
In a back-to-back win, OliveTheBoy scooped Best Afrobeats Song again with “Asylum,” following last year’s win for Good Sin. And in a touching moment, Yaw Sarpong was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
