The U.S. Embassy in Ghana has commended the nation for successfully conducting the 2024 elections, hailing it as a genuine reflection of the will of the Ghanaian people.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Embassy emphasized the significance of Ghana’s democratic process and expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties under President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

“Congratulations to all Ghanaians on a successful election that reflects the will of the Ghanaian people. The United States looks forward to continuing our strong partnership under @JDMahama,” the post read.

The Embassy also applauded all candidates for their dedication to peaceful elections and a seamless power transition, praising Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s gracious concession speech as a beacon of national unity.
