During a meeting with the National Security Task Force, chaired by Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa assured that all necessary arrangements are in place for a smooth and efficient process.

Jean Mensa also provided an update on the general election scheduled for December 7, 2024, revealing that 95% of the ballot papers have already been distributed. She added that biometric verification machines are being transported to district offices for further deployment on election day.

Ballot papers are set to be dispatched on Tuesday, November 26, to the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions, with other areas still pending.

The Special Voting Exercise is designed for specific groups of registered voters, including journalists and security personnel, to cast their votes ahead of the general election due to their responsibilities on December 7.
