Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana’s Minister of Education, has revealed plans to introduce an exciting ‘edutourism’ initiative aimed at attracting international students and educators to the country.
This groundbreaking program will combine academic learning with cultural experiences, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in Ghana’s rich history and vibrant culture.
Speaking on behalf of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, in Accra on Sunday, Dr. Adutwum highlighted that the initiative will offer students from around the world the chance to engage in educational programs while exploring Ghana’s diverse heritage.
“We are positioning Ghana as a top destination for educational tourism,” he declared. “This will not only enhance our educational offerings but also foster cultural exchange and stimulate economic growth.”
Dr. Adutwum emphasized that the initiative is part of the government’s broader vision to transform the education sector and increase its global competitiveness, encouraging Ghanaians to continue supporting the NPP government to bring this vision to life.
