The image of the suspected murderer of well-known Kumasi Asante Kotoko fan, Nana Pooley (real name Francis Yaw Frimpong), has surfaced online, sparking widespread reactions.
Pooley is believed to have been fatally stabbed during a violent incident at the Nsoatreman vs. Asante Kotoko match on February 2, 2025, at Nana Kronamansah Park.
Eyewitnesses report that Pooley was forcibly removed from the venue on the orders of the home team’s owner, Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah. After the attack, Pooley was discovered in a pool of blood by a tricycle rider just outside the venue.
Despite being returned to the stadium for medical care, tragedy struck as the ambulance driver was unable to be located.
