Alan Is Full of Wickedness, His Tactics Are to Cause NPP Defeat – CTVET Director

Ing. Peter Antwi Boasiako criticizes Kyerematen's tactics, claiming they are aimed at undermining the ruling party's chances in December's election

Story Highlights
  • Alan Kyerematen's recent criticism of former President Kufuor is seen as part of a broader strategy to damage the NPP
  • Alan's actions in 2008 harmed the NPP's chances in the elections
  • Ing. Peter Antwi Boasiako argues that Alan's tactics are widely recognized as destructive

Ing. Peter Antwi Boasiako, the Deputy Director for the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), has accused Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Flagbearer for the Movement for Change, of using underhanded tactics to bring about the defeat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December elections.

Ing. Antwi Boasiako pointed to Kyerematen’s recent criticism of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, claiming that it was a deliberate strategy to create division within the party. Kyerematen had accused Kufuor of tarnishing his reputation for endorsing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the NPP’s candidate.

In an interview on Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show, Boasiako recalled Kyerematen’s behavior in 2008, when he similarly withdrew from the presidential race and caused turmoil within the party.

Ing. Antwi Boasiako stated, “In 2007, Alan knew he would lose to Akufo-Addo, so he stepped down after the first round. He claimed his supporters had been attacked and resigned, only to rejoin the campaign later. The damage was already done.”

He further emphasized that Kyerematen’s actions are aimed at sabotaging the NPP’s chances of winning the Decemeber 7 election comparing them to the harm caused in 2008.

Ing. Antwi Boasiako also criticized Alan Kyerematen for insulting Kufuor, questioning his loyalty to a former president who had appointed him to key ministerial positions.

“Alan’s intention is to bring about the NPP’s defeat, just as he did in 2008. He wants the party to lose. He has disrespected Kufuor, questioning the judgment of a former president who appointed him as a minister and helped shape his career.”

While dismissing Alan’s efforts as ineffective, Ing. Antwi Boasiako confidently stated that Ghanaians have recognized his tactics.

He sarcastically added that no rational person would support Alan, affirming that the NPP remains a serious party with solid policies.
