“They Shot at Everyone” – Survivors Speak as Four More Die After Walewale Ambush
Eyewitnesses recount the horrifying attack as the death toll continues to rise following the brutal assault on a passenger bus.

The tragic attack on a bus in Walewale on Friday, February 14, has claimed four more lives, bringing the total death toll higher.
Among the deceased are one Burkinabe and three Togolese nationals who were shot and injured during the assault. One victim was burned beyond recognition but was later identified on the morning of Saturday, February 15.
The bus, registered as GR 7501-21, had departed from the ADT station in Pulukoom, Pusiga District, but broke down near Loagri, close to a police barrier. When the driver left for Tamale to find a mechanic, gunmen attacked, firing at passengers and police before setting the vehicle ablaze.
Initially, three people, including a toddler, were found burned to death. Another charred body was discovered the next morning, while one injured victim succumbed at Walewale Hospital the same day. By Sunday, February 16, two more injured victims transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital had also passed away.
All victims have been identified as nationals of Burkina Faso and Togo. Authorities continue investigations into the harrowing attack.
