A group of irate National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in Mankranso, Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region, has vandalized the party’s district office in protest over the recent parliamentary election results.

The angry youth reportedly set fire to several party properties, including a television set and chairs, and destroyed other valuables at the district office. They claim their actions stem from dissatisfaction with how the party leadership is handling the parliamentary election outcome.

According to the aggrieved youth, their preferred candidate, Mr. Abubakar Sadick, rightfully won the parliamentary election, but they accuse the party’s national, regional, and constituency executives of conspiring to hand the seat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate.

In a heated demonstration, the youth issued threats against party executives, warning that they would physically attack any national, regional, or constituency officials who visit the area. They further cautioned the constituency executives to stay away from Mankranso or risk being set on fire.

The situation has created tension within the NDC in the district, and party leadership is yet to officially comment on the matter.
