The baby’s mother, who had stepped out to trade, was reportedly tracked by the assailants, severely beaten, and had her infant forcibly taken before the horrifying act unfolded.
This chilling incident is part of the escalating violence in Bawku and along the Bolgatanga-Tamale highway, pushing the death toll to 55 since the conflict reignited in October 2024.
