A five-month-old baby girl was tragically killed in Bawku after attackers snatched her from her mother and slammed her to the ground, causing her untimely death.
The baby’s mother, who had stepped out to trade, was reportedly tracked by the assailants, severely beaten, and had her infant forcibly taken before the horrifying act unfolded.
This chilling incident is part of the escalating violence in Bawku and along the Bolgatanga-Tamale highway, pushing the death toll to 55 since the conflict reignited in October 2024.
Despite increased security measures, armed assailants continue their reign of terror, leaving residents and commuters in fear of further attacks.
