Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to focus on unity rather than blaming each other for the party’s defeat.

In a meeting with executives from the Klottey Korley constituency, Dr. Bawumia highlighted voter apathy as the main reason behind the loss, explaining that the NPP unintentionally handed victory to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), rather than the opposition outshining their 2020 performance.

“We didn’t meet our expectations, which is why we conceded, but this isn’t the end,” he stated. “We lost a battle, not the war. The NDC didn’t win because their numbers remained the same; ours dropped by 40 percent.”

Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of standing united, urging supporters to move past the blame game. “Division will only weaken us. Let’s focus on the future, on strengthening the party, and putting personal ambitions aside. Together, we will succeed,” he said.
