Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, has called for calm among party supporters as the collation of election results continues.
Addressing party supporters, Wontumi expressed strong confidence in the party’s chances, despite the rising tension and projections that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) may be ahead.
He reassured supporters that the figures circulating are only preliminary and that the real results will be determined at the national level.
“These are just initial numbers. The final result will be shaped by the national count, and we believe our dedication and the trust Ghanaians have in us will secure our victory,” Wontumi stated.
Wontumi also emphasized the NPP’s commitment to ensuring a transparent process and urged vigilance as the vote tallying progresses.
“Our votes will decide who leads Ghana on January 7, and I am confident that the people have chosen wisely,” he said.
His comments come amidst heightened emotions as the nation eagerly awaits the official outcome of the elections.
