Prof. Ransford Edward Gyampo, Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), has expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing work at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal in the Ashanti Region.
During a recent working visit to the project site, Prof. Gyampo praised the efforts of Justmoh Construction Limited, a Ghanaian-owned company overseeing the project’s development.
The Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal, also known as the Boankra Inland Port, is a crucial infrastructure initiative designed to enhance Ghana’s transportation network and foster economic growth.
The terminal will serve as a central hub for goods and cargo transportation, easing congestion at the country’s ports and improving trade facilitation.
Government Support & Local Involvement:
Prof. Gyampo emphasized the government’s commitment to completing the project and reiterated the importance of involving local companies in such initiatives.
“Local companies have the capacity to deliver, and it’s essential that we support them,” he stated. He acknowledged the financial challenges faced by the construction firm but highlighted its determination to meet project deadlines and accelerate progress. “I must say they are doing a wonderful job,” he added.
Impact on Ghana’s Economy:
The Boankra Inland Port is expected to have a significant economic impact, creating jobs and stimulating growth in the transportation and logistics sectors. With the backing of the government and local expertise from firms like Justmoh Construction, the terminal is set to become a vital part of Ghana’s economic infrastructure.

Project Status & Expectations:
Project Director for the Boankra Inland Port, Dr. J.B. Koranteng Yorke, provided an update on the project’s progress, revealing that Phase One is 82% complete. Once finished, the terminal will be operational.
However, Dr. Yorke noted that the company is awaiting financial clearance from the government to expedite work and finalize the project.
