  • Boafo's comments highlight the strong political sentiments among the public

Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has boldly stated that Ghanaians, especially in Ashanti, will avoid pubs and lounges if the ruling party loses the upcoming December 7 election.

He emphasized that these social spots thrive on people’s happiness, which drives their spending, ultimately boosting the economy.

In an appearance on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Lawson TV/Radio with Kwame Tanko Boafo explained that a loss for the NPP would leave many devastated, causing them to lose the joy and enthusiasm to spend.

Reflecting on past election results, he noted that after the 2008 elections, Greater Accra, a key swing constituency, became eerily quiet.

“For a joyful Christmas season, vote for the NPP,” Boafo urged, calling for a strong turnout at the polls to ensure festive cheer and economic activity.
