NPP's Bawumia Claims Government Outperformance Over NDC Amid Global Challenges

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserted that his party’s government has outperformed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in all sectors, despite facing global challenges such as COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Speaking during a community engagement in Akrofuom, Ashanti Region, on Tuesday, November 12, Dr. Bawumia declared, “Despite COVID-19 and other global crises, we have outperformed Mahama in every sector of the economy.”
He highlighted the achievements of the NPP, stating, “We have created more jobs, constructed more roads, railways, and airports, and built more schools, libraries, sanitation facilities, and initiatives for cocoa and agriculture. In every aspect, we have achieved more than the previous administration.”
Dr. Bawumia challenged former President Mahama to cite a single infrastructure project that has benefited the country during his tenure, noting that Mahama has been unable to do so.
He further claimed, “That’s why I invited him to debate, but he refused. He ran away like a chicken because he’s scared.”
