Dr. Richard Amoako Baah, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has suggested the potential creation of a new political party as the 2028 general elections approach.

While the founders of this proposed party remain unnamed, Dr. Baah disclosed its name as the New Patriotic Front (NPF).

In a recent interview, the political scientist shared that the NPF would provide an alternative to the current NPP, calling on all concerned Ghanaians to support the new initiative.

He expressed skepticism about resolving the NPP’s internal struggles under its existing leadership, which he believes is resistant to genuine reform. “The issue is that those responsible for the problems are in charge. Do you expect them to step down willingly? They won’t. The best solution is to form a new party,” Dr. Baah argued.

He also encouraged NPP supporters who seek integrity and reform to join the new party, distancing themselves from what he described as a leadership plagued by incompetence and corruption.
