No ID, No Access! ECG Warns Public Against Unauthorized Workers

The Ashanti West Regional General Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Engineer George Amoah, has advised the public to demand official staff ID cards from anyone claiming to work on ECG structures.
Speaking during a media engagement on Friday, February 28, 2025, as he assumes his new role, Engineer Amoah stressed the need for vigilance.
“Do not allow individuals without ECG staff ID cards to work on our equipment. If you notice any suspicious activity, ask for their ID and check the validity date. Report unauthorized persons to our district offices for immediate action,” he cautioned.
Additionally, he appealed to landlords in Adum to allocate small plots of land for ECG to install transformers, enhancing service delivery.
He also encouraged Ghanaians to use the ECG App for bill payments and reassured the media of his openness to collaboration, emphasizing his media-friendly approach
