  • Mogtari encouraged Ghanaians to support the NDC
  • She pointed out that the NDC had previously included similar commitments in their manifesto

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Campaign Spokesperson and Special Aide to National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama, has urged voters to remain skeptical of recent promises made by New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mogtari’s remarks follow Dr. Bawumia’s recent commitment to provide free dialysis treatment for renal patients, slated to begin on December 1.

She criticized this announcement, suggesting that as Vice President, Bawumia already has the authority to implement such initiatives, implying that this pledge may be more about political campaigning than genuine intent.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on November 12, Mogtari emphasized Mahama’s dedication to delivering on campaign promises, contrasting it with Bawumia’s track record.

She pointed out that the NDC had previously included similar commitments in their manifesto, which addresses essential healthcare needs such as specialized fertility and dialysis services.

Mogtari encouraged Ghanaians to support the NDC in the upcoming elections to ensure better access to healthcare services.

“We often express our biased views without realizing that people can see through them. Long before @MBawumia made his promise of free dialysis treatments to win votes, John Mahama and the NDC had already made a similar commitment in the People’s Manifesto. Unfortunately, this was overlooked.

“Dear voters, you have a clear choice: between the man currently in power who has the ability to fulfill your needs but has chosen not to, and the man who has consistently proven that he delivers on his promises.

“Don’t be misled by grandiose claims. Vote wisely for #JohnMahama so we can together build a Ghana where everyone has access to improved healthcare, including specialist fertility treatments and dialysis services.”
