Offinsomanhene Nana Dwamena Akenten II has endorsed Alan Kyerematen’s butterfly symbol, stating it signifies the transformative change Ghana needs.
Speaking at his palace in Offinso, located in the Offinso South Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Nana Dwamena Akenten initially expressed confusion over Alan’s choice of a butterfly as a symbol for his movement.
However, after reflecting on it, he concluded that it was indeed a wise decision.
The chief elaborated on the role of butterflies in pollination to the assembled sub-chiefs, explaining, “For any plant to bear fruit, it needs a butterfly to facilitate the process. The butterfly transfers pollen from one flower to another, which is essential for fruit production.”
He continued, “After considering this, I realized that for anything to bear fruit, the butterfly plays a crucial role. Just as the butterfly aids plants in bearing fruit, so too will Alan bring prosperity to Ghana.”
Alan Kyerematen is currently on a 19-day tour of the Ashanti Region as he campaigns for the upcoming December 7 elections.
