The Ghana Police Service has placed a bounty of GH₵20,000 for credible information that leads to the arrest of a group accused of threatening violence in Obuasi ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The wanted individuals—Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, and Musa Yakubu, alias “Agya Musah”—have been on the run since November 15, 2024. They were captured in a viral video making statements aimed at disrupting the December elections, sparking public alarm.
Police have classified the group’s actions as a violation of public peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), and have urged citizens to assist in the manhunt.
In their latest statement on November 24, authorities encouraged anyone with credible information to contact them via the hotline 0547927272.
“The Ghana Police Service remains committed to safeguarding public safety and ensuring peaceful elections,” the statement affirmed.
