Sheikh Issah Salifu Taylor has emerged victorious in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency, unseating incumbent MP George Mireku Duker of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a dramatic 2024 election outcome.
Provisional results from all 263 polling stations reveal that Salifu Taylor, running as an independent candidate, secured 35,906 votes (47.11%), marking a decisive triumph. Mireku Duker garnered 27,404 votes (35.96%), while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Joy Joycelyn Andoh, received 12,903 votes (16.93%).
