Election Security Forces Vow Peaceful Polls as EC Dispatches Ballots Across Ghana

The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed that all ballot papers will be distributed across the country by the end of today, November 26, with biometric verification devices to follow by the weekend.
As of now, 13 regions have received their ballots, leaving Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions pending. In a recent meeting with the National Elections Security Taskforce, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa reassured the public of the Commission’s preparedness for the upcoming elections.
“All our registers are ready and have been distributed nationwide. We are close to completing the ballots for both the presidential and parliamentary elections. Except for the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions, all ballots have been sent to the police armouries. I am confident that those for the remaining regions will arrive this afternoon,” said Jean Mensa.
Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, head of the National Election Security Taskforce, reiterated the commitment of security agencies to safeguard the election process and ensure a peaceful and orderly event for all Ghanaians.
