Bawumia Promises to Build a Bridge Over Oti River If Elected

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate, has announced plans to construct a bridge over the Oti River using a portion of a $2 billion loan from Korea, aimed at enhancing trade and business connections with neighboring countries.
Speaking to community leaders in Kratchie East on October 26, Bawumia stated, “The bridge over the Oti is already in progress, and with God’s blessing, we’ll utilize the Korean facility for this vital project.”
He also promised to build an astro turf field in the area soon, highlighting the significant growth in such facilities from just three to 150 across Ghana since 2017.
He reassured the audience of efforts to establish a university in the Oti Region, revealing plans to upgrade the Dambai Teacher Training College into a full-fledged university.
