Akyem Anamase Bride Opens Up About Her Groom’s Shocking Death on Wedding Day

Florence Debrah, also known as Maa Adwoa, has tearfully shared the devastating loss of her fiancé, Chief Inspector Godwin Benibah, who tragically passed away on their wedding day last Friday in Akyem Anamase, Eastern Region.
In an emotional interview, Florence recounted the last time she saw Chief Inspector Benibah on December 26, 2024, before he left to remind wedding guests and visit the Police Headquarters in Accra for a special outfit.
On the day of the wedding, Florence was preparing for the ceremony at Anamase Hotel when she suddenly heard cries.
Upon learning the heartbreaking news, she was told that her groom, aged 46, had collapsed and was rushed to Anamase Clinic, where he was later pronounced dead.
The family transported his body to the Oda Government Hospital for an autopsy.
Florence, aged 29, remembered her fiancé as a caring and generous partner who not only supported her but also helped her family, including her single mother, Madam Afia Buruwaa, 46. Madam Buruwaa described the deceased as the family’s breadwinner and pillar of support.
The police have since transferred his body for further procedures.
This unexpected loss has left Florence and her family grieving the sudden departure of a man who had been their beacon of hope.
