President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to work together in building a nation that stands as a global inspiration.
Speaking at the inauguration of the transition team in Accra on Wednesday, December 11, Akufo-Addo emphasized the significance of unity and national pride in advancing Ghana’s development.
The ceremony marked the beginning of the handover process to the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
Highlighting Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of democracy and stability, Akufo-Addo called for continued adherence to the Transition Act and collective efforts to strengthen the nation’s achievements.
“We must consolidate our hard-earned reputation by strictly adhering to the provisions of the Transition Act. Let us build a nation united in diversity and freedom, steadfast in its pursuit of progress—a nation that inspires others,” he remarked.
The President also encouraged patience, understanding, and faith in the country’s institutions as essential ingredients for Ghana’s forward march.
