Two individuals are in critical condition at the Bawjiase Polyclinic after being apprehended with the exhumed remains of a 10-year-old boy.
The suspects, Fofo Agboyemeh and Kwame Agboyemeh, reportedly dug up the body of the deceased, James Ajoyemeh, just three days after burial at the Adawukwa cemetery near Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District.
Their suspicious activity was intercepted by okada riders at Ashalaja around 1 a.m., leading to a violent confrontation by an enraged mob. The timely arrival of the Denkyira Police prevented the incident from escalating to a fatal outcome.
The injured suspects are currently in police custody and undergoing treatment for their injuries. Investigations are underway to uncover the motive behind this disturbing act.
