The celebrated actress, who recently co-produced the hit movie “Shanty Town,” emphasized the significant strides women have made in breaking down gender barriers.
During an interview, Edo highlighted the growing number of women directors and producers in Nigeria who are producing critically acclaimed films.
She believes that this trend signifies a shift away from the traditional perception of women as subordinate to men in the workplace.

Directed by Peter Sedufia and produced by Chris Odeh, the movie features a star-studded cast, including Chidi Mokeme, Warri Pikin, Lasisi Elenu, Akah Nnani, Majid Michel, Yvonne Okoro, Roselyn Ngissah, James Gardiner, Annabel, and others. The film is set to premiere on December 25th, 2024, at Silverbird Cinemas in Ghana and Nigeria.
