Election 2024: Bawumia-Napo a Better Pair Than John and Jane – Fiifi Boafo

Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated that the pair of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is the best option to drive Ghana forward, compared to the pair of John Mahama and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.
Fiifi Boafo said both pairs have held leadership positions, and Ghanaians are aware of their respective contributions.
Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko, he compared Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Mahama, who have served as former Vice President and President, respectively.
He stated that John Mahama cannot be remembered for any significant social intervention policy he executed.
He praised Dr. Bawumia for his role as Vice President, highlighting policies like the drone delivery program and the provision of electric buses to ease the transport burden on commuters.
Fiifi Boafo also compared Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, both of whom served as former Education Ministers.
He criticized Prof. Jane Opoku Agyemang, stating that during her four years as Education Minister, she failed to provide chalk to teachers for teaching.
He also pointed out that 2% out of every 100 students failed the standardized test under her tenure.
He further mentioned that the NDC running mate set a target of building 150 E-blocks but ended up constructing only 27, which, according to Fiifi Boafo, was a failure to meet her target.
“Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh have distinguished themselves better than Mahama and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. Bawumia has a better vision. If you want someone who can solve Ghana’s hardships, it is the NPP, not the NDC. The NPP’s opponents have nothing to offer, and we cannot entrust Ghana to their hands,” Fiifi Boafo said.
“We shouldn’t forget that Mahama has asked for honey before he will start work. The NPP has identified the hardships of Ghanaians and has put measures in place to alleviate them,” he continued.
