In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the ‘Buga’ hitmaker emphasized the importance of honing one’s craft rather than chasing viral trends. He believes true success lies in the quality of music produced, rather than in the numbers and popularity driven by social media platforms.

He pointed to four-time Grammy Award winner Killer Mike as an example of an artist whose success has been built on his artistry, not social media hype. Kizz Daniel wrote: “Leave social media algorithms, focus on your craft … have you ever heard of a guy called KILLER MIKE? Guess not … 4-time Grammy winner. Stop chasing the number 1 song, it’s meh now – everything can be controlled. Most of those song numbers don’t correlate on other platforms… check.”
