A man in his early 40s was discovered deceased inside his truck at Nyankyerenease in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
The victim, identified as James Appiah, also known as Atta, was reportedly seen earlier that day sleeping in his vehicle, which was parked in a way that obstructed traffic.
Eyewitness Maame Ampofowaa recounted her attempts to persuade Atta to move the truck, expressing frustration over its poor parking.
She stated that despite multiple conversations with him around 11 AM, he failed to respond. When she checked back later, she noted that he remained in the passenger seat, seemingly asleep.
“It was around 3 PM when I left my shop, and he was still in the car. I was shocked to hear later that evening about his passing,” she said, adding that those who informed her were aware of their earlier disagreement regarding the parking situation.
