Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has called on President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to honor the strong mandate granted to them by Ghanaians through dedication and exceptional performance.
Addressing their resounding victory in the December 7 general elections, Bagbin praised the duo for securing an emphatic win while reminding them of the immense responsibility they bear to fulfill the expectations of the electorate.
“President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang have earned a heavy mandate from the people of Ghana. But let us not forget the adage: ‘To whom much is given, much is expected,’” Bagbin remarked.
He highlighted the electorate’s clear endorsement of the campaign promise to reset Ghana, emphasizing the need to deliver on this pledge without disappointment.
Bagbin also assured the incoming administration of Parliament’s partnership, vowing to serve as a dependable institution in overseeing and supporting the delivery of impactful reforms.
