A tragic accident on the Accra-Tema Motorway claimed the life of a Sprinter bus driver, Isaac Atsu Hanu, 42, earlier today, November 19, 2024.
The bus, bearing registration number GT 4867-13, was traveling from the Tema Adjei Kojo under bridge to Lapaz when the incident occurred.
Survivors reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a pothole.
The bus veered off the road, crossed the median into the opposite lane, and eventually crashed into a bush.
Emergency responders, including the National Ambulance Service, arrived at the scene, transporting injured passengers to nearby hospitals and the deceased driver to the mortuary.
