From Ballot to Peace: Your Role in Protecting National Security During Elections – Richard Kumadoe
Ghana’s stability lies in the hands of stakeholders, from voters to leaders, ensuring a peaceful electoral process
- All stakeholders must prioritize fairness and accountability in their roles
- Citizens, law enforcement, and political parties should act to maintain order and security
- Media and observers must remain impartial and objective throughout the process
Election Security and Voter Responsibilities
National elections has become a major threat to national security across the globe especially, in West Africa.
2024 National Elections, we entreat:
1. The Electoral Commissioners, and duty bearers, to discharge their duties properly, and assiduously.
2. Political parties to discharge their responsibilities, with purposefulness.
3. Law enforcement agency officers, to act rightly; in a manner that, promotes peace, and ensures, law and order is maintained, at all times.
4. The electorates (voters) to also behave themselves, (follow voting procedure, and processes), even as they vote for their respective political party candidates.
5. Elections observers must be firm, and active, in the discharge of their independent observatory duties.
6. Media personnel should be objective, factual, and work, to maintain an outlook of greater professionalism, without fail.
7. Thank you all.
