Detective Corporal Baba Amando Ibrahim of the Tuna Police Station in the Savannah Region has been interdicted by the Ghana Police Service following allegations of professional misconduct captured in a viral video.
The video reportedly shows the officer assaulting a civilian, prompting the Police to take immediate action to ensure a thorough investigation, as per Police Service Regulations.
In a statement, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) reassured the victim’s family of the Service’s commitment to justice and pledged the full support of the Savannah Regional Police Commander in addressing the matter.
