- Nunoo-Mensah prioritizes patriotism over political involvement
- He finds Ghana's politics unattractive and unengaging
- After a brief foray into politics in 1996, he has chosen to step away entirely
Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah, the former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, has made it clear that he does not engage in politics.
He describes himself as a patriotic military man, distancing himself from the political arena.
Speaking on the ‘Election Home’ program on Lawson TV/Radio, on Thursday, Nunoo-Mensah expressed that the current political landscape in Ghana is unappealing, which prevents him from participating.
“I am not political. I am patriotic, so I offer genuine criticism,” he told Kwame Tanko.
Reflecting on his past, he mentioned that he ran for parliamentary candidacy in the 1996 general elections under the NPP but has since stepped away from politics.
