The Ghana Police Service has arrested two additional suspects linked to the violent clashes that broke out during the Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC on February 2, 2025, in Nsoatre, Bono Region.
The new suspects, Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine, are currently in custody and are cooperating with ongoing investigations.
This brings the total number of arrests to five, as authorities ramp up efforts to capture all those involved in the violence.
The Police Service has assured the public that an intelligence-led operation is still in progress to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects.
The incident, which resulted in one fatality, prompted the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to suspend all Premier League matches until further notice as investigations continue.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to justice and are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist law enforcement.
