The Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) has launched Phase Two of its YouStart Ghana Jobs and Skills Project, disbursing a GHC 51 million grant to support 4,174 youth-led businesses across Ghana.

The initiative was celebrated at a grant-signing ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre, marking a key milestone in Ghana’s ongoing efforts to tackle youth unemployment through entrepreneurship.

More than 4,000 young business owners will benefit from financial support and tailored mentorship in business management, financial literacy, digital marketing, and market expansion. This holistic support system is designed to nurture sustainable businesses that contribute to Ghana’s economic progress.

Chief Executive Officer of the GEA, Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, highlighted the program’s importance, emphasizing that beyond financial aid, the initiative reflects the government’s belief in the potential of youth to transform the economy.
