Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr P and one half of the duo P-Square, has addressed allegations of song theft made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy.

The controversy revolves around the track “Winning,” which Rudeboy claims he wrote and recorded for his upcoming album.

Rudeboy expressed his surprise when Mr P released “Winning,” produced by their former collaborator Vampire, before he could do so. In response, Mr P took to Instagram to clarify that he co-wrote the song with another artist, Calypso60.

“Person no dey thief him own property! It is well!” he stated, defending himself against the accusations. He thanked Vampire for his support, saying, “Thank you, @iam_vampire_official, for the clarification.”

Mr P reiterated that “Winning” was a collaborative effort: “For the record, ‘Winning’ was written and composed by @calypso60music and myself, produced by @iam_vampire_official and co-produced by @goldswarm.”

Emphasizing his desire to focus on his music, he referred to a previous statement: “Just as I said in my open letter three months ago, ‘Allow me to do my music in peace.'” He called for support and positivity as he promotes his new single, urging fans to let him enjoy “Winning” without negativity.
