As the 2024 general election draws near, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has offered his heartfelt blessings to Kofi Akpaloo, the Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).
During a visit to the Manhyia Palace on November 20, Akpaloo and his party leadership received warm words of encouragement from the monarch.
Describing Akpaloo as one of his “children,” Otumfuo said, “It seems my children are those contesting in the elections, and Kofi is one of them. I pray for his success and a peaceful process.”
He expressed confidence in the power of prayer and patience, emphasizing the importance of peace and unity in the electoral process.
The Asantehene also acknowledged Akpaloo’s campaign materials and affirmed his belief in God’s guidance for the nation.
He urged all political factions to prioritize harmony and avoid actions that could disrupt the peace.
Akpaloo’s visit to the Manhyia Palace forms part of his campaign strategy to secure support and divine blessings ahead of the December 7 election.
