Otto Addo: Sudan’s Luck Will Run Out Next Time
The Black Stars coach vows that the next encounter will be a different story
- Ghana's draw against Sudan leaves them with only two points from three matches
- Missed opportunities by key players hindered their chances for a win
- A victory in Libya could significantly improve Ghana’s standing in Group F
Ghana Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has expressed frustration following their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier goalless draw against Sudan on October 10.
Coach Otto Addo suggested that the Sudanese were “lucky” to secure a draw.
The match marked Ghana’s return to Accra Sports Stadium for the first time since 2021, but the Black Stars couldn’t capitalize on several scoring opportunities.
Key players like Antoine Semenyo, Mohammed Kudus, and Inaki Williams all missed chances in the second half, leaving Ghana with just two points from three matches and dimming their hopes of qualifying for Morocco.
After the game, Addo remarked, “Sudan was very lucky today. That is all. The next time we meet them in Libya, they won’t be lucky.”
With their upcoming clash against Sudan in Libya, the Black Stars aim for a crucial victory that could elevate them to second place in Group F.
