Kwame Ofosu, a commercial motor rider (okada rider) in his early 20s, was allegedly murdered and his decapitated body discovered in a bush at Gomoa Afranse in the Central Region on Thursday afternoon.
The chilling incident has left the local community shaken. Fellow riders, both apprehensive and outraged, have vowed to seek justice for their fallen colleague.
Assemblyman Ibrahim Obeng, who discovered the body, described the act as unprecedented in the otherwise peaceful area. The case has been reported to the police, and Kwame Ofosu’s remains have been deposited at the Swedru Government Hospital for autopsy.
Mr. Obeng urged police to expedite investigations to apprehend the culprits. He also advised commercial riders to prioritize safety and avoid trips to isolated locations.
