Ogyeahohuo Yaw Gyebi II has been re-elected for a second term as President of the National House of Chiefs.

He secured the position with 42 votes, defeating the Chief of Dormaa, Osaagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, who received 30 votes, along with one ballot that was rejected.

In the election for the Vice President of the House, Biupe-wura Abdulai Jinapor II won decisively, receiving 52 votes to surpass three other candidates.

The election process was delayed for several hours due to discussions regarding a legal suit filed by the Sampa Chief, Nana Samgba Gyafla.
