The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to resume the re-collation of disputed parliamentary seats from the December 7 elections.

The NPP claims its independent collation confirms victories in Dome-Kwabenya, Ahafo Ano North, Ahafo Ano South West, Obuasi East, Techiman South, Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Aowin, Ablekuma North, Tema Central, and Okaikwei Central constituencies.

Previously, the EC declared the NPP winners of the Suhum, Fanteakwa North, and Akwatia seats after re-collation at the National Police Training School.

However, the process was temporarily halted on December 13 due to disagreements, with the NDC obtaining a court injunction over the Nsawam/Adoagyiri constituency results.

At a press conference on December 16, former NPP Chairman Peter Mac Manu urged the EC to continue the process, calling for adequate security from the National Election Security Taskforce to ensure a peaceful and smooth re-collation.

He also appealed to the NDC to advise its supporters, confident that the NPP’s candidates had won in the disputed constituencies.
