Dennis Miracle Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has launched a fierce critique of former President John Mahama and the NDC’s proposed 24-hour economy ahead of the 2024 elections.
In an appearance on Lawson TV/Radio’s ‘Ghana Se Sen’ Morning Show, Miracles Aboagye dismissed the NDC’s 24-hour economy initiative as nonsensical and lacking substance.
He accused the party of trying to mislead Ghanaians to secure votes, asserting that the concept is not a viable policy.
He highlighted that a 24-hour economy is already in place in certain areas and pointed out the impracticality of operations like banks opening at 2 AM.
“There is nowhere in the world a bank will open at 2 AM. The 24-hour economy is not a policy; that’s why they cannot explain it. They should present a proper policy for Ghanaians to vote for them,” he said.
Miracles Aboagye further questioned the feasibility of needing to visit government offices at odd hours, emphasizing the convenience of innovations like the Ghana Card introduced by Dr. Bawumia for passport applications.
“Who should wake up at 3 AM to go to the passport office? Dr. Bawumia has introduced the Ghana Card to make securing your passport much easier without going to the office. If they say the 24 hour economy is their policy clearly they don’t have a policy. They should come out and present their policy, showing us why we should vote for them.”
