Former President of Techiman City FC and a prominent member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Charles Ntim, also known as Mickey Charles, has stated that the party will secure more than 35% of the Ashanti Region votes to win the December 7 election.

Mickey Charles claimed that the NDC will receive more votes than in previous elections in the region.

Speaking on the Lawson TV/Radio Ghana Se Sen Morning Show, he said the narrative that the Ashanti Region is a “Waterloo” for the NDC is changing because the party is becoming more attractive in the region.

He further stated that the NDC will win the election because the wind of change is stronger now than in the 2000 and 2008 elections.

“In 2000, there was a wind of change; in 2008, there was a wind of change. This time, the wind of change is stronger than in 2000 and 2008. The NDC is winning,” he said.

Mickey Charles assured NDC supporters that no one can intimidate them in the Ashanti Region and urged them to go out and cast their votes on Election Day.
