Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that his campaign will remain steadfast in its focus on the upcoming elections, despite what he describes as “insults” from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He underscored his commitment to winning by highlighting the NPP’s achievements while in government.

During a visit to the Tano North constituency on November 2, alongside his long-time aide Dr. Gideon Boako, Bawumia interacted with voters in Duayaw Nkwanta as part of a two-day tour of the Ahafo Region.

In Dormaa, the hometown of Dr. Boako, who is vying for the parliamentary seat currently held by Freda Prempeh, Bawumia expressed strong confidence in the NPP’s chances for the December 7 elections.

“The NDC, sensing their impending defeat, has resorted to insults. I’m sure you’ve heard some of them. We won’t let these distract us; we are certain of our victory based on our record of good governance,” he stated. “Our focus is on launching developmental projects for all communities. I know the road from Tepa to Duayaw Nkwanta is in poor condition, and I assure you, I will prioritize fixing it as President. A new district hospital in Dormaa is also on my agenda.”

Dr. Gideon Boako, the parliamentary candidate for Tano North, confidently assured Bawumia that their constituency would make history in the 2024 elections.

“No matter what the NDC does, even if they resort to desperate measures, I will win this seat because I have your trust and support. Together, we will continue the excellent work of those before us. I urge you to vote decisively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”
