Samuel Atta Mills, Member of Parliament for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem in the Central Region, has reaffirmed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) holds the majority in the current Parliament of Ghana.

Speaking on the Ghana Se Sen Show on Lawson TV/Radio, Atta Mills addressed questions regarding where NDC MPs would sit when Parliament reconvenes at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) following the 2024 Election shake-up.

He stated that the NDC MPs would decide their seating arrangements upon arrival at the venue.

Atta Mills also criticized the politicization of the Supreme Court, questioning its role in the 2020 Fomena Independent Candidate saga, while highlighting its ruling against Speaker Alban Bagbin’s decision to declare four parliamentary seats vacant.

He urged NPP MPs to sober up, emphasizing that Ghanaians had spoken with their votes and revealed the NPP’s true standing.

The MP highlighted that, despite numerous adjournments, NDC MPs never obstructed government business, contrasting the NPP’s arrogance.

“The NPP MPs were very arrogant, and Ghanaians have spoken. Look at how they have lost miserably. Look at Afenyo-Markin; because of his position, he looked down on people, and Ghanaians were watching what he was doing. If Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu had been there, things would have been different,” he said.
