National Security operatives have seized 12 shipping containers loaded with counterfeit U.S. dollars, Ghana cedis, and suspected gold bars in a high-stakes operation.
The containers, traced to a warehouse in Sapeiman, Ga South Municipality, were packed with wooden boxes containing cash hidden in cement and plywood-sealed compartments.

The sting operation, prompted by a tip-off, also uncovered alarming items such as fake Ghana Army uniforms, boots, and counterfeit cedi notes in ₵50 and ₵100 denominations.

While two containers remain unaccounted for, security trackers are on their trail.
