Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice-Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to depart for the United States today to deliver a keynote address at the University of Memphis.
As a former Minister of Education, Dr. Prempeh played a crucial role in implementing the Free SHS Programme and other significant initiatives in the education sector.
His address will focus on “Implementing a National Policy for Educational Access and Equity.”
During his visit, he will also connect with the Ghanaian community in Memphis, aiming to strengthen ties between Ghana and its diaspora.
Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with the Mayor of Memphis to promote cultural and educational exchange.
Dr. Prempeh will leave Accra today, October 17, and is expected to return on Sunday, October 20, to resume his campaign for the upcoming elections.
