- Mahama urges NDC supporters to remain calm and avoid actions that could harm the government
President John Dramani Mahama has assured the public that his full cabinet will be unveiled within two weeks.
This pledge comes amidst criticism from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who labeled the President’s ministerial appointment process as disorganized and “tot-tot.”
Addressing attendees at a National Muslim prayer and thanksgiving service held on January 10 at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, Mahama encouraged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to maintain decorum and avoid actions that could undermine the government.
“Government is being formed, ministers will be put in place, and other officials will be appointed. As I said, we will have our full cabinet in 14 days,” Mahama stated. He emphasized the need for patience, advising supporters to consult ministers for resolutions to any concerns once appointments are finalized.
He also urged the NDC to avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous administration, noting, “That is why Ghanaians voted them out. Let us do things in an orderly manner.”
