Ghana’s President-elect John Dramani Mahama recently visited Kenyan President William Ruto to discuss key issues including regional integration, continental security, and maximizing the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Mahama expressed gratitude for Ruto’s support and extended an invitation to his January 7 inauguration. In a Facebook post, Mahama reiterated his commitment to bolstering trade among African nations under AfCFTA and strengthening Ghana-Kenya relations.
President Ruto affirmed his dedication to enhancing bilateral ties by expanding cooperation in trade, agriculture, mining, tourism, and energy. He also thanked Mahama for backing Hon. Raila Odinga’s candidacy for AU Commission Chairperson and confirmed his attendance at the inauguration.
